Model years and generations

The Road Glide name can cover different years, variants and equipment. This guide intentionally does not claim a single fixed production range or engine specification across every version.

Provide a preferred year or range in your enquiry so AnyBike can identify the appropriate generation.

What to verify

Fairing configuration, luggage, engine family, infotainment and model-year package.

Check VIN, recorded mileage, registration history, service records, condition and whether any equipment has been modified.

UK sourcing for international dealers

AnyBike helps trade buyers identify suitable motorcycles in the UK. We can share potential matches, agree the purchase journey and arrange UK collection and delivery to an approved port or handover point. International freight and crating may be arranged separately where available.

About the photograph

This photograph shows a Harley-Davidson Road Glide photographed in 2025. It illustrates this model family; exact features and specifications vary by model year and variant.

Road Glide generation and buying guidance

Frame-mounted fairing distinguishes it from the fork-mounted Street Glide.

What matters on a UK-sourced example

Inspect fairing mounts, infotainment, luggage hardware and model-year engine.

Specifications are model-year and market-dependent. Confirm the VIN, precise variant, original equipment and seller documents before relying on a quoted figure.

Manufacturer-documented model information

2018 Touring line: 2018 manufacturer range included Road Glide, Road Glide Special and Road Glide Ultra; these are distinct trims, not one fixed specification.

This information describes a documented model range or generation; it is not a claim that all motorcycles bearing this model name have the same specification.

These figures apply only to the labelled manufacturer publications and variants. They are not specifications for every Road Glide model year.

Market, trim, optional equipment and measurement methods can affect published specifications. Confirm exact VIN and manufacturer model year.

Detailed model generations and factory references

Different year-and-trim versions can have different engine families, chassis and touring equipment. These two documented reference points help identify the correct motorcycle before requesting UK supply.

2017 Road Glide Ultra (FLTRU)

The factory's 2017 Road Glide Ultra specification records a Twin-Cooled Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine, a frame-mounted sharknose fairing with triple Splitstream vent, dual reflector LED headlamps, linked Brembo ABS and Boom! Box 6.5 GT audio. This is an Ultra model, not the basic Road Glide.

2024 redesigned Road Glide

Harley-Davidson announced a redesigned Road Glide for model year 2024 with the Milwaukee-Eight 117, revised fairing and infotainment. Do not apply the 2024 engine or display specification to earlier Twin Cam or Milwaukee-Eight 107 examples.

What this means for export buyers

Give AnyBike a model-year range, complete model designation and preferred factory trim. Identify accessories, non-standard exhausts, infotainment changes and documentation before a price comparison. UK first registration can differ from manufacturer model year.

Comparison entries can represent different kinds of evidence (a specification sheet, model introduction or special-edition announcement). They are labelled accordingly. Production year, UK first registration and market specification are not interchangeable.
